Yet, this radical prosperity came at a profound cost: a cultural shift where the relentless pursuit of financial success replaced the traditional reverence for family and home. As the youth migrated to Seoul to chase modern ambitions, rural communities were abandoned, leaving behind only the elderly and the fading echoes of a vibrant past.

"The Ghost Town" is a visual documentation of Pangyo in Seocheon, widely known as the "Village Frozen in Time." As the younger generation departed and the remaining elders slowly passed away, the town simply stopped breathing, preserving the remnants of a bygone era. Through stark black-and-white imagery, this project captures the hollow objects and desolate landscapes left behind—a silent reflection on the true price of rapid modernization.
